Into Pie Pvt Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates IntoPie — a cloud-managed Digital Signage CMS platform comprising (a) a web administration console at intopie.com, and (b) the IntoPie Digital Signage Player Android application (“APK”) distributed via the Google Play Store. This Privacy Policy explains exactly what data is collected, why, how it is stored, and your rights.
1. The Android Player APK — Zero-Friction Design
No Account. No Login. No Personal Data Collection on the Device.
The IntoPie Player APK requires no user registration, no email, no phone number, and no personally identifiable information (PII) on the device side. When launched for the first time, the app generates and displays a unique Screen Pairing Code. A platform administrator adds the device to the CMS console by entering this code — the device then begins playing approved content automatically.
The following technical identifiers are processed by the APK purely for device management:
- Screen Pairing Code: A short-lived, auto-generated alphanumeric token used solely to associate the device with a CMS workspace. It does not identify any individual and is rotated upon successful pairing.
- Device Network Identifier (IP Address): The device's public IP address is transmitted to our servers on initial registration and during polling, used exclusively to route content delivery and verify device reachability. It is never sold or used for profiling.
- Android Device ID / Advertising ID: We do not collect Android Advertising ID (GAID). A stable device-local UUID is generated internally for session continuity and is never transmitted off-device in isolation.
- Hardware & OS Metadata: Device model, Android OS version, and screen resolution are collected for content rendering optimization (e.g., selecting appropriate video resolution). This data is non-personally identifiable.
2. Crash Analytics & Diagnostics
The IntoPie Player APK integrates crash analytics to improve stability. The following data may be transmitted to our analytics infrastructure in the event of a crash or ANR (Application Not Responding):
- Stack trace and exception details at the time of the crash
- Android OS version, device model, and available RAM at crash time
- App version code and build variant
- A non-identifiable installation ID (randomly generated at first launch; never linked to any user account)
3. Web Portal — Information We Collect
When you create an account on the IntoPie web administration portal, we collect:
- Account Details: Full name, business email address, and company/organization name.
- Billing Information: Billing address and payment method (processed and stored exclusively by our authorized payment gateway partners; we never store raw card numbers).
- Uploaded Media Assets: Images and videos uploaded for content scheduling are stored in our secure cloud infrastructure and are subject to admin content moderation review before being displayed on screens.
- Usage Analytics: Dashboard activity logs, campaign performance metrics, and feature usage are collected in aggregate to improve the platform.
4. Data Retention

5. Data Sharing & Third Parties
We never sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We may share necessary data with trusted third-party service providers exclusively for:
- Cloud hosting, CDN, and object storage for content delivery to screens
- Payment processors for billing and payouts (PCI-DSS compliant)
- Crash analytics and performance monitoring tooling
- Legal compliance — only when required by law, valid court order, or regulatory authority with proper jurisdiction
All third-party partners are contractually obligated to maintain equivalent data privacy standards.
6. Security
All communications between the IntoPie Player APK and our servers are encrypted using TLS 1.2+. Content delivery leverages HTTPS CDN endpoints. Admin portal sessions use secure, httpOnly JWT tokens. The APK enforces android:usesCleartextTraffic="false" — no unencrypted HTTP traffic is permitted.
7. Children's Privacy
IntoPie is a B2B enterprise platform intended exclusively for business operators and advertisers. We do not knowingly collect any data from individuals under 18 years of age. The APK player is deployed on commercial digital signage hardware — not consumer devices. If you believe a minor has inadvertently provided information, contact us immediately at [email protected].
8. Your Rights & Data Deletion
Portal account holders may exercise the following rights at any time:
- Access: Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Update inaccurate account details via the dashboard settings.
- Deletion: Request full deletion of your account and associated data. See our Account & Data Deletion page for the process.
- Portability: Export your campaign data and media assets before account closure.
- Withdrawal of Consent: Disconnect and unregister any screen device from the CMS dashboard at any time — this immediately ceases all data collection from that device.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be announced via email to registered portal users and a notice on this page. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
